Larry D. Simons is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization since 2004. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1995, and is also admitted to U.S. District Court, Southern, Central and Eastern Districts of California and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Larry is a member of the California Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Forum, and a member of the private panel of Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees for the Central District of California, Riverside Division. He is a former chair of the Bankruptcy Law Advisory Commission, which oversees the certification and recertification of legal specialists with the State Bar of California.
When he’s not helping Southern Californians with their finances, he enjoys cooking, gardening, travelling, spending time with his family and 2 dogs, and attending Dodger games.

Frank X. Ruggier earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California where he received the American Jurisprudence Award in Bankruptcy. His B.A. is from the University of California at Irvine, where he graduated cum laude. He is a member of the State Bar of California and a Certified Legal Specialist in Bankruptcy Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.

1) What Type Of Bankruptcy Is Right For Me?
While they are several different options or “chapters” of bankruptcy, everyone will have a unique financial situation. The type of debt relief that is best for you will depend on your debts, assets, and goals. For example, under Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, you may be allowed to discharge part or all of your unsecured debts; however, you may lose some of your property as payments to creditors.
